Big Lebowski spawns new religion

Fans of "The Big Lebowski" won't be surprised that a new religion has sprung from Lebowski's teachings. Chicago Sun-Times religion columnist Cathleen Falsani wrote about Dudeism -- The Church of the Latter-Day Dude in a column last week. She quoted a professor who talks about the ironic appeal of Lebowski's shallow and deep attention to being. The Big Lebowski is one of few movies we've seen more than once.
